Louise Quantin, director and founder
After studying history and literature, Louise worked for over ten years in French publishing selling translation and film/TV rights for several companies including Belfond, Les Presses de la Cité, Grasset, Robert Laffont, and Julliard.

She has negotiated the adaptation of a number of projects for TV, streaming platforms, and cinema including Michel Bussi’s Un Avion sans elle (Rififilms/Compagnie des Phares & Balises), « Dalloway », based on the novel Les Fleurs de l’ombre by Tatiana de Rosnay, (Mandarin & Compagnie, Gaumont Télévision), and the remakes of Henri-Georges Clouzot’s Le Salaire de la Peur(Labyrinthe Films, TF1 Studio, Netflix) and Françoise Sagan’s Bonjour Tristesse (Babe Nation Films).
In 2020, she joined the cultural services of the French Embassy in New York where she headed the Books & Ideas department for four years. As part of that mission, she helped create the Villa Albertine residency program, which welcomes around 50 French artists and writers to the United States each year, organized dozens of literary events, and initiated several programs, such as the Choix Goncourt des États-Unis and the Albertine Translation Fund.
Upon her return to France, Louise was driven by the desire to embark on a new professional adventure that would allow her to keep books and stories at the heart of her work and decided to create her own literary agency : Nomad Books Agency.
